"Digital Works provided services in Gallia County through a partnership with Gallia County Department of Job and Family Services as well as others in the Community and the State. The services provided were beneficial to our citizens for it prepared them for the nontraditional job opportunities. Although nontraditional job opportunities with W-2 wages were not abundant at that time, the opportunity prepared many for the pandemic work environment where traditional jobs were thrust into the untraditional work of home based employment utilizing web based solutions. The Digital Works participants I have spoken to were able to easily adjust to this new work environment and many may be able to continue working at home as the pandemic restrictions become to loosen. The pandemic has highlighted the broadband deficiency in our community, and we hope that the heightened exposure will lead to expanded broadband opportunities. I would like to congratulate Digital Works for reaching the 1,000 job placement marker and hope this is just a stepping stone that will allow them to leap forward."
