Taylor is a college student in Columbus, Ohio, working toward an Associate of Art Degree in network security. He has been employed part-time as a customer service representative at a large retail craft store since 2010, working after high school and while in college. Taylor learned about Digital Works from a friend and was immediately interested in the opportunity to gain experience in the tech field while continuing his college courses.
In April, Taylor began his Digital Works training at the Reeb Avenue Center location and graduated the program at the end of May. He was offered and accepted a full-time online customer care position with JCPenney. Taylor says he is excited about the increased pay, benefits eligibility, and career advancement opportunities the company offers. He is working with computers every day, meeting customer needs, and strengthening his resume.
“The Digital Works training was very thorough and especially helpful for learning a customer service mentality and phone skills,” said Taylor. “I find myself using Alpha numeric and other tips from training daily in my new job.”
