Digital Works expands free digital skills training and remote job placement program, next class starts July 26

Fort Campbell, Kentucky (July 12, 2022) – Digital Works (DW), a program of the national nonprofit Connected Nation (CN), recently opened up its digital skills and job placement support program to anyone interested in expanding their career options, regardless of military affiliation or location. The training provides digital competency and career readiness for remote jobs that are in demand now. The next class starts on July 26.

The Fort Campbell-based program offers training in customer service, sales, basic technical skills, and career readiness, which includes interviewing, résumé/cover letter creation, networking, and mentoring. It also provides job placement support focused on remote, work-from-home employment.

“There is something for everyone in the grant-funded Digital Works program,” said Digital Works Fort Campbell Facilitator, Melissa Anderson. “Join us to learn, refresh, or upskill customer service and remote career readiness skills.”

The course is 100% virtual and completed in two, three-day sessions. Plus, this unique opportunity — which is funded entirely by federal grants and donations — allows participants to complete the training at no cost to them.

A program certificate is awarded upon completion of the training, as well as an opportunity to sit for a nationally recognized customer service and sales specialist certification. Graduates benefit from access to the Digital Works vetted list of employers to further personalize job search support.
