One of the greatest accomplishments Digital Works has is its graduates. Hours spent in the classroom and learning new tech and customer service skills pay off for graduates such as Amy Ferguson and Judy Moody. Both women believe they owe much of their success and new-found careers to the Digital Works program and its staff.
Amy Ferguson landed a job immediately after graduating from Digital Works. She received resume assistance from Digital Works facilitator Tammy Spring, which she believes helped her get her new job.
“People in the class come from different generations and backgrounds, but topics were explained so that everyone could understand and comprehend,” Ferguson said. “The effect Digital Works has left on me is everlasting…I became a better person, learned something new every day and many of my skills have improved.”
Judy Moody agrees. She graduated from Digital Works and began working in telecommunications with JCPenney. Since then, she has been promoted to a higher and better paying position.
“This is indeed an exciting new development for me and I really feel I owe a great deal to Digital Works. Without their training I would not have had the confidence to apply for the job I have now,” said Moody.
Moody recalls how smooth the transition was in her promotion thanks to her training and mentorship from Digital Works staff. She encourages people to apply for JCPenney after completing Digital Works.
