Despite having years of customer service experience, Daniel was having trouble finding quality work.
“After living in Trinidad and Tobago for 10 years, I returned to the U.S. in 2013,” shared Daniel. “It was difficult for me to find a job, because I had been out of the country for so long.”
Daniel was hired as a customer relations representative for a company located 60 miles round trip from his home in Sandusky, Ohio. He enjoyed the job tremendously, but the commute was becoming difficult. He ended that employment and began looking for an opportunity closer to home.
“I attended a job fair and met a representative from Digital Works and subsequently enrolled in the program. I’ve never looked back.”
Daniel graduated the Digital Works training program at the Norwalk, Ohio, location in July 2014. He was immediately hired with LiveOps as a work-from-home agent, which included assisting customers of a well-known insurance company, national restaurant chain, and international clothing brand.
“I love working from home—especially during the winter season in Ohio. This type of work is well-suited to me.”
After 18 months, Daniel was interested in pursuing W2 employment opportunities that also offered benefits. He contacted Digital Works staff about current work-at-home positions available with their various employer partners and that would fit his qualifications. Digital Works’ virtual facilitator, Heather Davis, assisted Daniel with finding his perfect fit in his new career placement.
“Today is my third day with Concentrix. I am very excited about the benefits they offer—especially the employee stock purchase program.”
Daniel has been working from home for more than 2 years. He has found gainful employment that he enjoys, and he no longer has a commute to the office.
“The Digital Works training has increased my marketability. As a senior citizen, that is important to me. Also, because the work is not physically challenging, I can look forward to many years of rewarding employment, even at my age!”
