Graduate Spotlight – Gretchen C.

Gretchen is a young adult a few years out of high school with limited work experience. She was a stay-at-home mom looking for a way to supplement family income around the children’s schedules. A friend told her about Digital Works’ work-from-home job opportunities, and she went online to digitalworksjobs.org to sign up for the next orientation at the Gallipolis, Ohio location.

With the help of Gallia County Department of Job and Family Services, Gretchen began Digital Works training in April 2016. Upon completing the training program, she was immediately hired by LiveOps as a customer support agent. The flexible schedule and opportunity to work from home fit Gretchen’s needs perfectly.

“I pick my own hours and work when I want to work,” said Gretchen. “I don’t have to worry about who is going to watch the kids or if someone is going to be home to get them off the bus.”

After just a few months, Gretchen had the experience she needed to begin looking for her next online career move. In September 2016, Gretchen was hired as a work-from-home agent for U-Haul. The opportunity offers W-2 employment with benefits and incentives!

“(Gallia County) Job and family Services and Digital Works has helped me through everything—from needing a job that fit my needs to just being there when I needed help,” said Gretchen. “Working from home is a great opportunity…I’m very thankful.”
