Digital Works is a nationwide program that seeks to provide training in computer literacy and customer service. Once students graduate from the training, they are provided with support to find job placements with one of the 70+ employer partners for the program. To date, Digital Works has successfully helped 881 people secure employment.
Recent graduate, Marilyn, was unemployed for ten years before coming to Digital Works. She stated, “Digital Works gave me the training I needed to accomplish my goals to work from home.” Because of this program, she now has hopes of rejoining the workforce in a customer support role.
In order to graduate from the training program, students must successfully complete the entire Customer Support Service curriculum, pass all required assessments, stay in compliance with the attendance policy, and score a minimum of 32 WPM on their final typing exam.
This graduating class was the first group led by newly hired Facilitator, Victoria Richardson. She said, “My job is to train participants for today’s job market, assist them with securing employment, and to encourage and mentor them along the way.” To learn more about how you can participate in the Digital Works program, click here.
