Purple Up Day
Join the Digital Works and Connected Nation staff to celebrate Purple Up on Wednesday, April 19th in honor of the Month of the Military Child. The color purple represents all the branches of service, and the dandelion is the flower that represents MilKids. We wear purple on this day to honor the strength, resilience, and versatility of the children behind our armed forces. This day of recognition is special to our team which includes veterans, active-duty family members with military kids, and grown-up military kids.
Military children move frequently throughout their young lives, and they find a way to thrive and build connections everywhere they land. They have the unique opportunity to gather friends and supporters around the country and in some cases around the world. They face many challenges and hurdles by being part of the family behind the heroes that serve our country.
Show them that we honor, cherish, and celebrate them by joining together and wearing purple on Purple Up 2023 Wednesday, April 19th.
