Digital Works joins Blue Star Families for resource spotlight event

Bowling Green, KY (April 27, 2021) – Digital Works is working to provide members of the military community with online resources and remote jobs. On Wednesday, April 28, Digital Works Fort Campbell Facilitator Jessica Golson will be speaking about the Digital Works program and how it is carrying out this mission for military spouses, veterans, and veteran spouses living in Kentucky and Tennessee.

In 2009, a group of military spouses founded Blue Star Families to empower military families to thrive as they serve. The organization provides resources to 1.5 million military family members every year and ensures that wherever American military families go, they can always feel connected.

“We are so excited to be working with Blue Star Families,” said Golson. “As a military spouse myself, it never fails to impress me just how versatile, dedicated, and incredible the military spouse community truly is. I know their struggles and I am excited to introduce this program, helping some who have struggled for years to finally have access to remote employment.”

Digital Works, a program of Connected Nation, offers students a virtual setting for training, key customer service skills, and essential job readiness tutorials with experienced facilitators who not only provide the class training, but offer one-on-one skill development opportunities and assistance as well.

“I think a big part of this program is how different it is from so many others out there. Not only are we working to specifically target the military population suffering from some of the highest unemployment rates in history, we offer a community of our own as well,” said Golson. “During the resource spotlight this week, I hope I can convey just how exceptionally unique this program is in nature, the village of support that comes with program completion, and the life-changing personalized opportunities introduced. If you’ve been looking for a place to belong and a flexible career that can PCS with you each time duty calls, look no further.”

This event will be taking place live on the Blue Star Families Tennessee Chapter Facebook page at 4 p.m. CST. To attend this event, just make sure you are on the Facebook page and check your live Facebook notifications on the day of the event. We will also be live tweeting the event on Digital Works Fort Campbell Facebook page and Twitter account.
