Fort Campbell, KY (March 9, 2021) – On February 25, 2021, the Fort Campbell Digital Works team hosted a virtual hiring event for residents in both Tennessee and Kentucky. This event featured one of Digital Works’ largest employer contacts, Concentrix. Following the theme of remote employment, the presentation was aired live for all registrants and included exclusive content for attendees.
“Generally, we provide the same information presented in the hiring event in class for our students, only we extend to showcase multiple vendors for them to consider for employment. We discuss each vendor, their client industries, technology requirements, and positions they are currently trying to fill,” says Jess Golson, Fort Campbell program facilitator. “It was a new and exciting opportunity for us to share this information with the community, letting them get a peek at what we offer for program candidates.”
According to Golson, the Fort Campbell Digital Works program is hoping to host many more events of this kind in the future. The goal is to bring at least one vendor, if not more, into the mix and offer similar access to highly coveted, in-demand, legitimate remote work employment opportunities to the Fort Campbell community and surrounding areas.
“The event went well, and we are excited for what this means for the future of the program,” Golson says. “As the world around us is adapting to meet the increased demands for remote work, we want to continue to be at the forefront of this movement, offering new opportunities for growth around every corner.”
The Digital Works program is a grant-funded initiative of the nonprofit Connected Nation.
