Columbus, OH. – Crystal Amesquita never expected to be in this position—recently incarcerated and struggling to find a job to support her 12-year-old son Dominic.
“During my incarceration my son had made a statement to my boyfriend that he wanted to be a drug dealer, and I knew that was not the right way to live,” said Amesquita.
But everything was about to change. Her case manager introduced her to the Connected Nation program Digital Works (DW).
“Digital Works gives a lot of people the opportunity to better their lives and get out of situations like that, and it did for me,” she said. “This program was nothing short of life changing. It gave me another chance to have a career and provide for my family.”
Amesquita now has a place to live 20 minutes from her job in great neighborhood to raise her son and she credits Digital Works for her success.
