Kristi came to Digital Works – Cheboygan looking for an opportunity for gainful employment. The conveniences offered by the work from home opportunities were an added bonus for her. She loved the idea of not having a commute.
Kristi already had computer and customer service skills from her past employment in a dental office and another healthcare field. However, she felt the Digital Works training gave her a whole new skillset for offering exceptional customer care. And others agreed.
After completing the Digital Works training, Kristi began applying for various work-from-home positions. However, she did not yet have Internet access at her home and would be driving 40 miles round trip to work from the Cheboygan facility until that changed. She included her Digital Works training on her resumes that she also submitted to local bricks-and-mortar job openings. A hiring manager for a local company was impressed with Kristi’s customer relations training through Digital Works, as well as her work experience, and offered her a position making $12 per hour with benefits and a short commute. Kristi accepted the position and feels Digital Works was the advantage she needed to be considered and to land the job.
