Three SoloWorks Program students, Amanda Roybal, Rebecca Rodriguez-Salazar, and Nina Scharf (pictured left) had the personal drive and motivation to complete 140 hours of customer service, business skills and career development training during the first SoloWorks Program training.
“I’m so proud of these students. They have worked very hard in preparing themselves to work at home as customer service representatives. This is evidenced by the interviews they are getting from companies interested in hiring them, said SoloWorks Program Director, Marena Drlik.
“This training was fun, engaging and very useful for learning about customer service. I’m eagerly applying to jobs and have already gotten an interview with one of the companies I’m interested in,” said Amanda Roybal.
“I’m eager to make working at home my career,” said Nina Scharf, “I’m grateful for this opportunity.”
Rebecca Rodriguez-Salazar is experienced as a customer service representative and “found this training useful and an excellent refresher.”
Their Training Graduation ceremony was held on Friday, November 10 at Luna Community College attended by friends and family, Rock Ulibarri, Director of Adult Education at Luna Community College, Mike Adams, Executive Director for Las Vegas-San Miguel County Economic Development Corporation (EDC), Joel Sheinberg, President and Bob Witters, Treasurer for the EDC Board and Casilda Gallegos from Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
