Digital Works Partners With ViaSource Solutions to Bring Virtual Jobs to Michigan and Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Digital Works, a modern, online workforce development program led by Connected Nation, has partnered with ViaSource Solutions, an industry leader in contact management support, to connect job seekers in Cheboygan, Michigan and Gallipolis, Ohio with in-demand online careers.

After hiring agents from the Digital Works – Gallipolis facility earlier this year and seeing successful agent preparedness, training, and retention results, ViaSource will expand its recruitment efforts to include Digital Works – Cheboygan applicants. The company is pleased to recruit in Michigan.

“We are excited about the relationship with Digital Works and the opportunity to reach quality candidates in areas we haven’t been able to recruit previously,” said Leonard Linton, Chief Finance, Administration, and Corp Development Officer for ViaSource Solutions. “We have a span of projects we are consistently hiring for. With the training and screening that Digital Works provides, we feel confident that we will be able to bring on board a higher percentage of quality applicants than if hiring on our own.

ViaSource adopted the work-at-home, virtual agent model in 2009 after seeing the multiple benefits and opportunities it provides, such as minimal operational costs compared to traditional call centers, cost savings for clients, and competitive wages with no commute costs for agents. The company offers virtual agents part-time and full-time positions in inbound and outbound sales and lead generation for the following industries: healthcare, medical, financial services, retail, energy and utilities, cable and satellite, education, and hospitality.

“We’re proud to bring national employers like ViaSource to smaller communities in need of employment options,” said Stu Johnson, Vice President of Digital Works. “There’s really no other workforce training program like Digital Works. We are able to offer employer-customized training to high-quality candidates and help place these candidates in jobs that take the physical location of the worker and the employer out of the equation.”

Digital Works connects people to leading-edge customer support and IT jobs for global corporations by providing training, mentorship, and job placement assistance, as well as the opportunity for advanced careers. Many program graduates benefit from the work-at-home opportunities available with the more than 55 Digital Works employer partners. More than 600 jobs have been secured by graduates of the Digital Works program since it launched in 2013.

The Digital Works program operates centers in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas. The program will be offered soon in Mississippi through a partnership with Mississippi State University Extension.
